Purpose:
The current car club contract is due for
renewal at the end of 2021, and we are taking the opportunity to
review and update car club operation to make it fit for purpose and
enable future development and expansion.
In order to provide seamless operation it will be necessary to
extend the existing contract for up to 6 months while the review is
completed and the new parameters are developed.
Approval has been obtained to extend the contract with the existing
supplier, and this decision confirms the budget for that extension
of up to £18,000 (£3,000 per month for up to 6
months).
Decision:
To allocate up to an additional £18,000
from the Planning Budget to cover the operational costs of the
extension to the existing car club contract for up to 6
months.
The decision runs alongside the Contract Procedures Rules Exemption
approval for the extension of the current contract.
