I am a Watford Borough Councillor representing the residents on Stanborough Ward and have served 20 years as a Borough/District Councillor, and I am also the County Council representative for the Woodside Stanborough County Electoral division since 2017.

I first became a Councillor at the age of twenty-two as I wanted to help local residents with the issues that affected them, and to assist residents in their dealings with the Council. This willingness to help local residents, and local community groups in Stanborough & Woodside, in Watford and in Hertfordshire, is still the paramount reason for me to stand as a local Councillor for the area I live in. I'm active on many issues affecting our locality such as planning, road conditions, road safety, street cleaning, liaising with the police etc. and work with our local residents' associations for the benefit of our locality.

Whilst I was born at Hillingdon Hospital when I was six months old my family moved to South West Herts. I live with my family in Lamb Close, just off Sheepcot Lane, in the County division/Borough Ward and have lived in the Watford area in effect all my life. I am a keen Watford FC fan and I often write reports for the "Fans View" in the Watford Free Observer. I am married with two children, both attending local schools and both attending many sporting/activity clubs around our local area (e.g. swimming at Woodside Leisure Centre, Ballet at North Orbital Community Centre : Centrestage School, 8th North Watford (1st Garston) Scout Troop, Karate etc.) . We have an allotment at the Briar Rd Allotments site, and we attempt to grow edible food there every year.

Away from the Council I am employed as a Credit/Finance Manager and I’m a member of a number of various local groups such as Kingswood Residents Association, Friends of Woodside, Friends of Cassiobury Park and Friends of Watford Museum. I am a long term school governor, of thirty years plus of one of our local secondary schools.

Time permitting I do like to get down to Woodside Leisure Centre for either a work-out, yoga class or a game or two of badminton, and I also enjoy jogging three large loops of Woodside Playing fields including Albans Wood.

To contact me, please write, phone or email using the details on this page. My contact details are also published in the "Democrat" newsletter distributed to all homes in Stanborough Ward regularly by the Liberal Democrat team.
