Licensing Sub Committee

Purpose of committee

Licensing Sub-Committees are set up as required.  The membership is made up of three Councillors who are members of the Licensing Committees.  The Sub-Committee considers the following –

 

·               Determines new and variation applications submitted under the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005 where representations have been received;

·               Considers review applications related to Premises Licences and Club Premises Certificates;

·               Determines Gaming machine applications for licensed premises requesting 5 or more machines;

·               Conducts reviews of gaming premises as requested;

·               Considers appeals from licensed hackney carriage/private hire drivers when their licence is being revoked by the Council.

·               Determines Temporary Event Notices when representations have been received.
